It's kinda warm in NY and it got me thinking about the days when as a teacher I actually knew the difference between seasons. Now as an office manager, each day is the same as the next with barely time to go outside and notice the weather let alone summer vacation. No, I am ok and I don't mean to kvetch ( too much!) - but...yes I miss camp life and running multiple cam groups at once and getting messy and having FUN!!!!
So tomorrow after work I will escape to my niece and Huvi and I will have our own private camp art class!
Judaic Mixed Media Collage on the cutting edge! Collages using illuminated manuscripts, centuries old wedding kettubot and my collection of vintage Israeli stamps.

my distracted life
Did you ever notice that life always seems to get in the way of art. Yes I know you have to make time for it - and I try to....but I always wonder what kind of art I could create if I did it at say 1:00 in the afternoon with the sun out and the birds a chirping rather than 1:00 in the evening with the stars and the moon to keep me company?!
I have so many interests...and responsibilities. I have a full time plus some job which totally zaps up my creative juices but on the other hand I think it's total lack of creativity sometime spurs me on to do something beautiful and lasting.
My hubby and I love to search and recreate our childhood by going to toy, flea and antique shows. The dustier the better!!!!!
We are currently on a quest to find tin toys from the 50's and 60's. I love it - going tomorrow - will post pics of the newest, latest and greatest.
